The Open Water Diver certification course is the first level of education in scuba diving. As a certified Open Water Diver, you will then be able to explore the world’s most magnificent dive sites independently.
It takes between 3 and 4 days to complete the Open Water Diver course in Palawan. It includes theory, practice and written exam. After an introduction to your scuba diving equipment, you will jump in to practise some basic skills and get used to breathing underwater. These exercises are done in the safety of confined water, either in a pool or shallow waters by the shore.
Under the supervision of your professional dive instructor, the next part includes 4 open water dives in Palawan to try your newfound skills in the big blue !
Palawan, as one of the Philippines most exquisite diving destinations, is home to a variety of dive sites suitable for all divers of all experience levels. During your certification Open Water Diver Course, you will enjoy four dives in Palawan’s pristine waters. Depending on where the dive center you opt for is located, you will dive near the Calamian Island and Coron, at the northern end of Palawan, which is known for its many wrecks. Diving in El Nido is most renowned for its limestone walls and amazing coral dives.
The Open Water Diver certification course will allow you to dive independently and safely to a maximum depth of 18m (60 ft.)
